The Friday before Super Bowl LV, Dr. Bonnie Henry announced COVID-19 restrictions would be extended in British Columbia, with no end in sight.
“Whether it’s the Super Bowl this Sunday, Lunar New Year, Family Day, Valentine’s Day, it’s an important opportunity for us to either allow the virus to spread or for us to slow it down even more,” Henry said on Friday.
Many restaurants and house parties had to change their plans for the upcoming game, and B.C. residents had one message: Stay home and keep gatherings to immediate family, or those in your bubble.
