The wait is over. Megastar Chiranjeevi has launched teaser of Rana and Sai Pallavi starrer Virata Parvam. Going by the teaser, Virata Parvam recites an epic wartime love story between a rebellious poet and a rustic girl who is an ardent fan of his poetry.
The love story is narrated in Sai Pallavi’s point of view and this clears up on why Rana wanted to mention her name first. “How long to erase the marks of hegemony? How long to uproot the barriers of discrimination? Knocking the bottom out of farmers… landlords prospered,” raises Rana his voice through his poetry. Aranya is his pen name and Sai Pallavi is devoted fan of him and his writings.
“Her love is the one that raised the curtain of hidden stories,” read the statement in the teaser which describes Sai Pallavi’s adoration for Rana. She leaves her family and enters the jungle in search of her love. The police brutality is shown in a scene where cops improperly touch her.
Rana is seen in an action-packed role as comrade Ravanna and Priyamani and Naveen join fight with him. While the love story is epic, the action sequences are correspondingly stupefying. The last sequence of Sai Pallavi using beep word shows the rawness in story-telling.
Venu Udugula shines as writer and director, as the dialogues make strong impact. Production design is just brilliant while camera work and music are other big assets. Suresh Bobbili is the most underrated music director of Tollywood and his work is appreciable.
On the whole, Virata Parvam teaser sets bar far high on the film produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Suresh Babu. We need to wait till April 30th to witness the epic wartime love saga.
