Tim Hortons says donut tastes differ across Canada – Canada News – Castanet.net

Tim’s popular orders 2020

Tim Hortons is reporting that a double-double was the most ordered coffee of 2020 and Boston Cream was the most ordered donut.

The double-double was consistently popular coast to coast, but the top donut differed in each province.

Ontarians, the western provinces and the territories loved the apple fritter in 2020, while the Honey Crueller was number 1 in Quebec.

In the Atlantic Provinces, the Boston Cream was most popular but it also ranked a close second across the country, pushing it to number one overall in Canada.

“Boston Cream donuts are a classic and I’m not surprised it was Canadian Tim Hortons guests choice this year,” says Tallis Voakes, culinary lead for Tim Hortons.

As for the top coffee orders, Tim Hortons says the results were consistent.  Double-double was the top choice across the country in 2020, followed by a regular coffee (one dairy, one sugar) and a simple black coffee in third.

Overall, the top 10 Tim Hortons donuts across the country in 2020 were: Boston Cream, Apple Fritter, Old Fashioned Plain, Honey Cruller, Chocolate Dip, Vanilla Dip, Sour Cream Glazed, Chocolate Glazed, Double Chocolate and Honey Dip.
