In the North West today (Saturday, December 26, 2020), there has been a total of 349,719 confirmed cases since testing began.

There are currently 2,245 people in the region’s hospitals who are being treated for COVID-19, including 156 on ventilation.

Another 215 people were admitted to hospitals in the North West yesterday.

A total of 39,169​ people have received treatment for the virus at North West hospitals since the pandemic began.

The total number of North West deaths with COVID-19 on the death certificate now stands at 12,515.

Of these deaths, 11,503 were recorded within 28 days of a positive test.
