Liverpool linked with Daka
Ah, the March international break.
The January transfer window has been closed for two months and the summer transfer window doesn’t open for another two months.
But since when does that stop the juicy transfer gossip?
Remember Patson Daka? RB Salzburg’s prolific replacement for Erling Haaland who continues to be linked with Liverpool and scored twice against them in pre-season?
Would you be surprised to hear the Reds have been linked again for the, *checks Google*, Zambia international.
Okay, I didn’t have to check Google. I’m a nerd. But let’s take a look at this latest tale anyway.
The 22-year-old has scored 27 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for Salzburg so far this season and according to reports in Austria, is wanted by four Premier League giants including the Reds.
According to a report from Salzburger Nachrichten, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United also want the forward.
The Austrian newspaper claims that the forward is valued at just €20m (£17m) and is expected to bring in a record transfer fee for Salzburg which will topple the €20m received for Haaland.
Still, a pretty moderate value as things stand.
