Alaba ‘available for £30m’
Liverpool have been told that David Alaba could be sold by Bayern Munich for a knockdown £30m fee in January after falling out with the club hierarchy report Football Insider.
The Austria international recently slammed reports suggesting he was being too greedy for his wage demands after the Bavarians withdrew from contract negotiations.
With January the Bundesliga giants’ last chance to sell the 28-year-old before his deal expires, they have reportedly lowered their asking-price to £30m.
Personally, I’d be all for a move for Alaba but it remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp feels the same.
Nat Phillips, Rhys Williams and Fabinho have all performed well at centre-back when turned to in Virgil van Dijk’s absence, while the Reds don’t really need a centre-midfielder or left-back.
But when a quality option becomes available at a knockdown price, can you afford to say no?
