Liverpool fans fume at Jurgen Klopp decision as West Bromwich Albion leave Anfield with a point – Birmingham Live

Liverpool were counting the cost of Semi Ajayi’s first Premier League goal as they dropped two points at home to West Brom.

Jurgen Klopp’s side dominated the first half and led 1-0 through Sadio Mane’s goal – but they could not add a second.

Indeed Albion had the better chances in the second period and eventually equalised through Ajayi’s 82nd minute header.

That left Reds fans fuming that Klopp had not made more substitutions as it was obvious his team had started to struggle.

Here is a flavour of what Reds supporters were saying.

@TaylorGang_38: this is 100% on Klopp. This game was crying out for Shaqiri since the 50th minute and Klopp refused to sub. We didn’t take our chances or make changes and this is what happens.

@jodyndaniels: How is it that the team has a week to plan for this game and get some rest and play infront of a crowd AT Anfield… And then deliver this pathetic performance?! Salah and Trent were particularly terrible today. Overall the team tempo was flat, and poor decisions up front

@peerso2001: The game was crying out for Xherdan to come on. Joke

@Iversev2: Absolutely woeful

@eriksgrafs: That’s LFC for you, when the midfield isn’t creative, nobody strikes from distance, LFC doesn’t take chances, no risk no reward. You can’t win football by just controlling the ball. we had 1:1 draws against the worst teams in EPL: Brighton, Fulham, WBA.

@sachdude1: How can we go from 7-0 palace to this. See what happens when we don’t put our 10,000 chances per game away

@Jesua89405875: This is not a display of champions. Looks like the same old Liverpool of few seasons ago. A delusional manager! Individuals playing for themselves and their own glory! We are back to being the Robin Hood of the Premier League.

@theredsforever: WHAT A POOR PERFORMANCE, West Brom fans are going to be happy with this result, it’s absolutely unacceptable, Ox should’ve started, and we should’ve made subs earlier, also the question has to be asked, why the hell did we not use Shaq?

@MustafaOthman70: No creativity from midfields costed us this game needed shaqiri and ox needed Salah and the forwards got isolated they didn’t feed them any good chances to score all what they did is a cross and hope it went in for a header when we don’t have a long striker .
