Liverpool fans were heaping praise on Diogo Jota after he scored for Portugal on Tuesday evening.

The 24-year-old rising Liverpool star ensured his country survived a scare during their 3-1 World Cup qualifying win against minnows Luxembourg.

It was Jota’s goal that cancelled out the host’s opener before Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Palhinha ensured the points were heading their way.

But once again, Liverpool supporters were left wowed by their summer signing, who just cannot stop scoring.

After netting a brace against Serbia last time out, Jota is returning to Merseyside in some serious form and at the right time.

Liverpool fans think that the likes of Real Madrid now need to be wary of their deadly poacher, who is seemingly hitting the back of the net every time he gets a sniff in front of the goal.

All of this, of course, bodes well for Jurgen Klopp because it means he has an in-form forward heading into a crucial last few months for the club, both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
