Leicester City news and transfers LIVE – French prospect linked, loanee returns, contract latest – Leicestershire Live

Leicester City missed out on Champions League qualification after their defeat to Manchester United and all eyes are on how the Foxes strengthen their squad this summer.

Defeat to United condemned City to fifth in the table after looking odds to secure a top-four finish for most of the season.

Leicester will now compete in the Europa League as a result and Rodgers is relishing the task.

“I’m really excited by that,” he said.

“It’s that next step for this squad of players. The boys have had a good season. Those experiences, of playing in midweek, will make us more robust. I’m excited for it.”

In the meantime, the transfer window is now open for business and the Foxes will be hoping to strengthen their squad as well as prevent any prized assets from leaving.

We will have all the latest news and speculation in our live blog with clubs expected to move quickly given the new season starts on September 12.
